Classification of cotton and twill twill fabrics and advantages of use Jun 15, 2018

The cotton and twill fabrics have a twill weave pattern. In general, the left oblique cotton fabric has a positive twill pattern when it is used. To a certain extent, the reverse of the variegated twill weave is not obvious. The number of counts is close, and the density is slightly higher than the weft density. The hand feels softer than the khaki.

Cotton-cotton twill fabrics can be divided into rough twills and fine twills to some extent. In the process of use, coarse twill weaves are made of cotton yarns with a number of 32 (above 18 inches). Fine twill weaves are made of cotton yarns below 18 gauge (32 or more). Twill fabrics are available in white, bleached, and mottled colors and are commonly used in uniforms, sportswear, sports shoes, emery cloth backings and underlays.

The wide-format bleached twill weave of cotton/cotton twill can be used as a sheet, and it can be effectively used as a bed sheet after printing. Twill and mottled fine twill weaves are finished with electro-optic or calender finishing. They can be used as umbrellas and clothing clips.
